During the off season, staff will still be at the museum most Mondays through Fridays. If you need to stop by to make a donation or drop off items, please make an appointment by calling 219-872-6133 or emailing contact@MChistorical.org. The online store will remain open during the off season for anyone who wishes to purchase items. The store will not be available for orders between December 17 and January 5.

We are open from April through October 31, 2025, every Wednesday through Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 PM CT.
Support local history.
Becoming a member of the Michigan City Historical Society helps support the preservation and sharing of our community’s history. Your membership allows us to operate the Old Lighthouse Museum, maintain our archival collections, assist with research requests, and provide educational programs for visitors and school groups. Members receive free admission to the museum and a digital membership card for easy entry. The Michigan City Historical Society, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
