The Old Lighthouse Museum will be closed Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2.
We will be open as usual this week, Wednesday through Friday from 1:00 to 4:00pm.
With the Great Lakes Grand Prix taking place this weekend, parking around the museum can be very limited. Rather than making it difficult for our volunteers and visitors to find parking, we have decided to close for the weekend.
If you're visiting Michigan City this week, there will be plenty to see and do, including all of the Great Lakes Grand Prix festivities!

We are open from April through October 31, 2025, every Wednesday through Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 PM CT.

Becoming a member of the Michigan City Historical Society helps support the preservation and sharing of our community’s history. Your membership allows us to operate the Old Lighthouse Museum, maintain our archival collections, assist with research requests, and provide educational programs for visitors and school groups.
